Michał Karasiewicz has graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Poznań in 2002 in the piano class of Professor W. Andrzejewski. In 1991 he received honourable mention at the Wielkpolski Performing Competition in Poznań. One year later he received 1^st prize at the Regional Two Pianos and Piano Four Hands Competition in Gniezno and in 1995 he received honourable mention at the National Chamber Music Competition in Wrocław. He also won 1^st place during the Auditions of Secondary Music School Piano Class Students in Poznań in 1996. In 1996 he won 5^th prize at the 1^st National Fryderyk Chopin Competition in Warsaw. He also took part in many master classes, including in Poznań and in Zakopane. He performs in concerts in Poland and abroad.

Michał Karasiewicz is currently an employee of the Music School Complex and of the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. He has been working regularly with violinist Jan Romanowski and is a member of Trio Taklamakansince 2004.
