LA FOLLE JOURNEE DE VARSOVIE

The Faculty of Jazz in the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School Complex was founded in 1992 and the Post-Secondary Jazz School was founded in 1997. Both have since become respected institutions in music circles. Many of our graduates are active on the Polish music scene, as well as abroad.

During the La Folle Journée Festival you will have an opportunity to hear an ensemble of our most talented students – Olga Boczar and Aleksandra Trzaska, and the Bednarska Quartet.

Olga Boczar and Aleksandra Trzaska are students of the Henryk Majewski Post-Secondary Jazz School in Iza Zając’s class of jazz vocal and in Andrzej Jagodziński’s class of jazz improvisation.

Aleksandra Trzaska has already worked together with Urszula Dudziak, Dorota Miśkiewicz and with the Bisquit band. In 2010 she took part in the Golden Washboard Competition in Iława and in the Voicingers Competition in Żory. She is now working on her own music project.
