LA FOLLE JOURNEE DE VARSOVIE

A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Wrocław in the piano class of mgr Ewa Piotrowska and of the Academy of Music in Wrocław in the piano class of Professor Grzegorz Kurzyński (honours diploma) and in conducting at the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory and Music Therapy in the class of Professor Mieczysław Gawroński.

Grabosz has performed as a pianist in Petersburg, Enschede (the Netherlands) and in Germany. He played many first performances by young composers from Wrocław. His repertoire encompasses both classical music and jazz. He has been working together with singers for several years. As an accompanying pianist he plays at singing courses all over Poland. In May 2005 he has received a special award for the best accompanying player at the 20^th Century Music Competition in Warsaw.

Grabosz has been a conductor of the Karol Szymanowski Primary and Secondary Music School Symphony Orchestra in Wrocław since 2008.

An album recorded by Marcin Grabosz and Agata Zubel containing song cycles by Aaron Copland, Alban Berg and Paweł Szymański, as well as Scriabin’s Vers la flamme for piano solo was released in 2009 on the CD Accord label.
