Bartłomiej Wezner was born in 1981 in the city of Nysa. He graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the piano class of Ewa Pobłocka in 2006. In 2002-2004 he also studied with Professor Jerzy Sulikowski, while simultaneously studying harpsichord with Professor Urszula Bartkiewicz.
He successfully performs in many different genres of the piano repertoire. Together with the BMF Piano Trio he won the St. Martin’s Chamber Music Competition in london in 2011 and won 1st prize at the 19th International Chamber Music Competition in Thessaloniki (Greece) in 2010. Together with mezzosoprano Agata Schmidt he won 3rd prize at the 17th K. Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition in Łódź (2010). Wezner has received many awards for best pianist at domestic and international vocal competitions. He has worked together with Vadim Brodski (incl. the Brodski Jazz Quartet) since 2008. As soloist, he has received the Special Prize at the 6th I.J. Paderewski International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz in 2004 and a distinction at the 15th L. Janáček International Piano Competition in Brno (Czech Republic) in 2008. In 2006 he received a scholarship from the Piano Texas Festival and Academy foundation in Fort Worth. He participated in master classes held by Piotr Paleczny, Andrea Bonatta, Támás Ungár, Andrzej Jasiński, Ilya Scheps, Stephen Kovacevich and Janos Starker.
Wezner performed in Poland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, Great Britain and in the United States. He is a doctoral fellow at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and has received a scholarship from the Marshal of the kujawsko-pomorskie voivoship in 2011. Wezner has recorded music for the Acte Préalable label.
