Marcin Grochowina piano
Marcin Grochowina is a multi-faceted musician. Apart from playing the piano and teaching, he is also involved in improvised music and musical theatre. He has written soundtracks for radio plays and films. His “Stairway to Paradise” – a program with pieces by George Gershwin, played in many theatres all over Germany.
In 2006 Grochowina performed at one of the most prestigious music festivals – the Yehudi Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, Switzerland, in the Grand Finale, “Tout le monde du Violon”.
In 2009 he received the prestigious prize of the ZMF Music Festival in Freiburg (Germany). At the festival he performed Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with the Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra, playing his own, improvised cadenza.In the Chopin Year the artist has presented his new project, Chopin Visions.
